Picturing a bright new future for Thermos

As part of our brief to reposition heritage brand Thermos via a new online presence, we were tasked with directing a lifestyle photoshoot aimed at attracting a younger demographic by showcasing their products in a variety of aspirational activities, from health and fitness to festivals.

The shoot took place over two days in and around Leeds, West Yorkshire – an ideal location for a shoot that required both urban and natural environments. Of course, being England we were at the mercy of the weather, but thankfully the rain held off and we were able to take advantage of the natural light as much as possible, only requiring artificial lights when then cloud cover became too overbearing.

Thermos has always been a well-loved and trusted family brand, and while we wanted to bring the brand up to date, we also wanted to remain true to this core value. We cast a modern, nuclear family made up of two young, working parents and a little boy and girl, who were as delightful as they were professional. The chemistry between them really came across on camera and brings a rare authenticity to the images.
